- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetBy Shannan RoussIt's that time of year again, when the office holiday party has everyone—even your boss—letting their guard down a little. It's a chance to stand out, mingle with the higher-ups and look your best. To help, we've rounded up ten beauty tips straight from the red carpet. Your 9-to-5 routine is about to get a major promotion!http://static.glo.com/photos/Original/73797_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetFor eyes like Taylor Swift's, CoverGirl makeup artist Laurie Turk (who did the star's makeup for the American Music Awards) recommends using a damp brush to apply powder shadow. As the powder dries, it will adhere to skin and prevent creasing. Turk brushed CoverGirl Eye Enhancers Shadow in Tapestry Taupe from Swift's lash line to just above her crease before applying Eye Enhancers Shadow in Snow Blossom on the innermost corners of eyes to brighten them.http://static2.glo.com/photos/Original/73796_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetTo create this glam 'do on Julianna Margulies, celeb hairstylist Matthew Monzon combed Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice through damp hair and then blew it dry using a 2-inch round brush. Next, he parted hair and set the top portion in Velcro rollers. The rest of her hair was divided into two layers, with the bottommost being curled in one direction, and the next being curled in the opposite direction. Afterward, Monzon removed rollers and used a boar bristle brush to create a smooth finish.http://static1.glo.com/photos/Original/73792_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetFor a look that's relaxed but still refined, try Emily Blunt's easy updo style by Laini Reeves for Wella Professionals. To give hair some lift at the root, Reeves recommends drying strands in different directions. Next, curl hair using a 2-inch barrel curling iron. (Rake your fingers through hair when finished.) Pull your hair into a loose ponytail at the base of your neck, and then tease hair. Split your ponytail in two sections. Twist and pin each section to create a soft, slightly undone bun. Don't worry about making it perfect—it's supposed to be a little messy!http://static2.glo.com/photos/Original/73789_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetA plum lip will help you get noticed in the sea of co-workers. It's a bold alternative to red, which can be a bit too look-at-me. On Rashida Jones, Maybelline makeup artist Jo Strettell used Sensational High Shine Lip Color in Dazzling Plum. Strettell recommends keeping the rest of your face clean and sleek. To do so, dot black gel liner between the upper and lower lashes and set with a cream pencil. Finish off with a few coats of mascara, and then bat away.http://static1.glo.com/photos/Original/73795_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetWhy not create a 'do that's sure to be a conversation-starter? Robert Vetica (who gave Marion Cotillard her milkmaid braids), tells you how: Part hair down the middle, front to back. Apply a product like Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream to control ends and keep hair smooth. Divide hair into two sections, and braid each just below and behind the ears. Tie off ends, and pin each side over the crown of your head where it's most flattering, making sure to tuck ends underneath and pin.http://static1.glo.com/photos/Original/73793_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetIf your workday M.O. is to wear your hair up, then take a cue from Gwyneth Paltrow and try this sleek, super-straight look. To begin, celebrity hairstylist David Babaii massaged a small amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil before blow-drying. (The oil absorbs instantly into the hair and adds softness and shine without weighing it down, says Babaii.) He then flat-ironed hair with a 1-inch iron and finished by scrunching Pequi Oil through the hair to give it more texture and movement.http://static2.glo.com/photos/Original/73790_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetBring a little drama and mystery to the office shindig with eyes that are subtly smoky like Julie Stile's. Hollywood makeup artist Brett Freedman (who worked with Stiles) says, When doing a smoky eye, it's important to have a very black, vivid lash line. He used shades of taupe and brown on the lids, before applying Urban Decay Liquid Eyeliner in Revolver along the lash line. To finish, he curled lashes and then swept on three coats of mascara, before giving a final curl.http://static1.glo.com/photos/Original/73791_Original.jpg
- Office Party Looks from the Red CarpetOn Scarlett Johansson, makeup artist Pat McGrath used two shades of foundation: Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Finish Creamy Foundation in Bisque and Beige. (McGrath suggests applying with a foundation brush for even, well-blended coverage.) For added luminosity, McGrath used a little lightweight concealer under the eyes and around the nose. A sweep of rose blush and a hint of shimmery powder just on the cheekbones completes the look. Now, who's ready to party?NEXT ON GLO: Best Beauty Cheat Sheetshttp://static.glo.com/photos/Original/73819_Original.jpgOffice Party Looks from the Red Carpethttp://static.glo.com/photos/Original/73797_Original.jpg

Bright Eyes
2 of 9For eyes like Taylor Swift's, CoverGirl makeup artist Laurie Turk (who did the star's makeup for the American Music Awards) recommends using a damp brush to apply powder shadow. Curl Power

Next, he parted hair and set the top portion in Velcro rollers. The rest of her hair was divided into two layers, with the bottommost being curled in one direction, and the next being curled in the opposite direction. Afterward, Monzon removed rollers and used a boar bristle brush to create a smooth finish.
A Simple Plan

Berry Nice

Milking It

Straight Talk
