    Buh-Bye, Beards

It's official: The bloom is off the beard, according to a study from the University of New South Wales. "The research focused on the beard's role in a man's sex appeal, asserting that a bearded man's attractiveness is directly proportional to how often beards are seen," reports PolicyMic. "The more people see beards, the less attractive they find them." The reason? Negative frequency-dependent selection, a principle of evolutionary genetics that says we're drawn to what's unusual. So if a guy is looking to attract a lady, he might want to consider losing the scruff.
