    Parental Guidance Suggested

Apart from the occasional "So, how's work?" answered with a simple "Fine," parents rarely get a detailed rundown of their adult kids' 9-to-5 routine. But LinkedIn is hoping to change that with Bring In Your Parents Day on Nov. 7.

Besides making Mom or Dad (or both) feel pretty special, the day may actually help you get ahead at work. As LinkedIn theorizes, once your folks know more about your job, their own experience and insight could make them a valuable resource.

Hey, if they successfully raised kids, they might just know a thing or two about conflict resolution.

    Catching Fire with Style

If you thought Katniss Everdeen's flaming dress in The Hunger Games was impressive, the fun is only beginning.

In a New York Times interview, Catching Fire costume designer Trish Summerville shared what's to come when the film opens Nov. 22.

Look for Peeta's wardrobe to have more green tones (He's wearing Katniss's favorite color to subliminally woo her), Effie Trinket in uncomfortably high heels (forcing her to literally stay on her toes) and Katniss's wedding gown that "erupts and rises from the ash" as she twirls (we'd buy tickets just to see that).
