    Haircut of the Year

It's official: The New York Times has declared model Karlie Kloss's bob-with-bangs look "the haircut of the year." Kloss agreed to the cut in late 2012 at a photo shoot. The headline-making hairstyle, created by stylist Garren Defazio, took seven inches off Kloss's hair. Her initial reaction? "I love it!" Of course, only days later, extensions were temporarily added to give Kloss angel-worthy hair for the Victoria's Secret runway show.

    Diet Mom's New Book

When Dara-Lynn Weiss was told that her 7-year-old needed to lose 30 pounds, Weiss put her on a diet and then wrote about it—in Vogue—earning the nickname "Diet Mom." With nearly 20 percent of kids age 6 to 11 obese, is it wrong for parents to force overweight kids to slim down?
