Pump It Up
Heel Hop, a new dance-fitness class created by Kamilah Barrett, doesn’t require any footware change after work. Indeed, you can nix the New Balances entirely, as the new workout is done in high heels. Set in a Beverly Hills studio, Barrett's class was inspired by her childhood spent dancing to the music of her idols like Prince (known for his stacked-heel performance shoes). The exercises are aimed at achieving core strength for fluid movement when wearing pumps and stilettos—and for working the muscles used while wearing them to prevent spills outside of class. It's not just for kicks!Courtesy of Heel Hop

Snow Angels
Our friends at Birchbox recently explored the ins and outs of keeping one's makeup looking cool in the bitter cold. They offer smart tips for an under-explored challenge—especially relevant if you are planning a mountaintop getaway with your boo and want to hit the slopes instead of the après-ski lounge. A few quick hits: Swap foundation for a moisturizer with SPF and mineral powders; skip lipstick and go for a rich balm topped with a stain; forget powder blush and choose a bronzer; and curl lashes and use a tubing mascara instead of a standard formula. You'll look hot no matter how chilly.Michael Kors F/W 2013: Imaxtree
