But with the current generation of products (plus an abiding desire to extend the life of a blowout), we were compelled to revisit the issue. We sprayed, sprinkled and brushed on the latest offerings to find out which ones delivered on their promises. Here are the results. - Which dry shampoos really work?The claim: Available in blond, brunette and white, this brush-on powder blends easily, adds volume at the roots and has a refreshing citrus scent.Tester's take: The powder blended in really well without having to fuss too much with it. Tester's take: Because it was an aerosol, it was super easy to apply. I just wasn't sure how much was enough. (Next time, I'll probably spray less.)
