If McDreamy and McSteamy are making you hot during the Grey's Anatomy finale this Thursday night, award-winning mixologist Vincenzo Marianella has the prescription.

He suggests whipping up "McSteamy's Melon Cooldown," a watermelon cocktail designed exclusively for Glo, to honor the end of the show's sixth heart-pounding season. Vincenzo chose watermelon because of its flesh-like interior — and ability to rehydrate even the hardest of criers — then added elderflower-derived St. Germain as a sweet parting gift, to help us ease into those Patrick Dempsey-free months ahead. We thought we'd slip you the secret recipe a day in advance, so you can give it a test drive.

"McSteamy's Melon Cooldown"

Ingredients:

1 Chunk (2-3”) of organic watermelon

4-5 Sprigs of fresh thyme

2 oz. Gin

1/4 oz. Simple syrup

3/4 oz. Lemon juice

3/4 oz. St. Germain

Directions:

Place the watermelon and thyme at the bottom of a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add the gin, syrup, lemon juice and St. Germain. Shake vigorously; then fine strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with a melon ball or lemon twist.

Vincenzo Marianella is the head barman at Copa D'Oro in Santa Monica, California and the creator of MyMixology, a beverage consulting company.
