Hump Day Happy Hour
This Jersey Shore-Inspired Sipper Deserves A Fist PumpBy Julie Fishman
Think of every Italian American stereotype out there, multiply by a million, and you've got MTV's hit show Jersey Shore. Tanned, gelled and hopped-up on chicken parm, the breakout cast heads to Miami for season two of the sometimes controversial, always hysterical, reality show. If you don't have time to sculpt a pouf before the premiere tomorrow at 10/9c, get your Guidette style on with a glass of “Berry Blow Out,” made exclusively for Glo by Billy Murphy's Irish Saloon.
Can the chaos-causing cast survive outside their natural New Jersey habitat? With Snooki's dance moves drawing crowds and The Situation's “situation” keeping them there, we think all signs point to yes. (Whether Miami survives the blockhead blitzkrieg is less certain.) While the cast “beats the beat” you can beat the heat with this refreshing cocktail — it's sure to J-Woww you.
“Berry Blow Out”
3 oz. Absolute Berri Acai
½ oz. Cointreau
1 ½ oz. Cranberry Juice
Combine the first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add a splash of lime juice. Shake and pour into chilled glass. Use the remainder of the lime for garnish.
Located in Philadelphia, Billy Murphy's Irish Saloon provides plenty of brotherly love … and some killer cheesesteaks!
