Cupid's arrows are flying and love is certainly in the air, as Valentine's Day is under a week away. Whether you're a holiday hater or a total love bug, you'll need a drink to wash down all those inevitable candy hearts. Our swig of the week will do the trick and match any V-day décor.

Perfectly pink and super-sexy, “The Pink Panther” makes for a refreshing post-makeout palate cleanser. Created by bar manager Jason Christopher of The Abbey in West Hollywood, whipping up this cocktail is a non-cliché way to show your beau some affection.

Or, if you're flying solo this year, add some extra grapefruit to make “The Pink Panther” a bit more bitter, then toss Bridget Jones's Diary into your DVD player — the combo will have you smiling in no time.

“The Pink Panther”

Ingredients:

2.5 oz. Ketel One (or similar) Vodka

1oz. Grapefruit juice

1oz. Sour mix

Splash of soda water

Cherry for garnish

Directions: Combine all but the cherry in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into an ice-filled highball or Collins glass. Add a cherry garnish.
