A Red Carpet-Worthy Concoction for the Oscars
By Julie FishmanThis coming Sunday, James Franco and Anne Hathaway host the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, where film buffs will come together to recognize the best in their field by handing out eight-pound Art Deco statuettes.
Well, that's how it started anyway. With gorgeous guys and glam gowns, today's Oscars are just as much about the atmosphere as the awards. Drink in all that red-carpet ritz — literally — with this week's gold-rimmed cocktail, made just for Glo by mixologist Darnell Holguin.
Combining Nicaraguan rum, blood orange syrup and Mezcal, “Red Carpet Sparkle” will ensure that you shine, even if you totally bomb the Oscar office pool because you picked winners based on cutest onscreen combo (e.g., Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale) instead of acting talent or filmic quality. With all the fine fellas up for awards, we don't blame you.
