    If you're a grown woman, then chances are, at some point in your life, you've worried about having not enough sex—or too much of it. To help put things in perspective, Glo looks at the stats and finds out what really happens behind closed doors. Among married couples, 45 percent have sex a few times per month, according to research from Sex in America: A Definitive Survey. Thirty-four percent have sex 2-3 times per week, and 7 percent manage an impressive 4 or more times per week. The remaining 13 percent? Just a few times a year.

    Although you may not be as frisky as you were in the beginning of a relationship, there's more to sexual satisfaction than, well, sex, according to a recent study from the Kinsey Institute. Frequent kissing and cuddling were linked to sexual satisfaction. In the survey of 1,000 couples, satisfaction in matters of the bedroom also increased with time: Women who had been with their partner for less than 15 years were less likely to report sexual satisfaction, but after 15 years, sexual satisfaction got a boost.

    According to Durex's 2005 Global Sex Survey, 22 percent of people surveyed worldwide have had extramarital sex. Previous studies looking at infidelity in the U.S. suggest that approximately 20–25 percent of men and 10–15 percent of women will cheat at least once during their marriage.

    Results of the Sex in America survey showed that women ages 30–44 had an average of four partners in their lifetime, while men in the same age group had an average of six to eight partners in their lifetime. At the other end of the spectrum, 17 percent of men had 21 or more notches on the ol' bedpost. Wondering how many women hit the 21-mark? A modest 3 percent.

    We're not sure about how well this speaks of women's sex lives, but a surprising 39 percent of single gals said they'd rather give up sex for a year than their favorite food. According to the Love Bites: Dating and Dining survey from Today.com and Match.com, 28 percent of respondents in committed relationships agreed, suggesting they're more loyal to dessert than to their love lives.

    More than 50 percent of women ages 18–49 reported masturbating during the previous 90 days, found researchers in the 2010 National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior (NSSBH). It may not be surprising that the rate was highest among women 25–29 and that it decreased with age.

Research from the NSSBH showed that more than half of women ages 18–60 have used a vibrator and 80 percent of those women say they've used it during sex with a partner, found researchers .
