Guy Candy1 of 37
By Paige Brettingen and Shannan Rouss
After hours—nay, days—of cyberstalking various entrepreneurs, athletes and creative types, we've come up with our list of the 39 most eligible* men under 39, including a few under-the-radar bachelors you've probably never heard of. Whether you like your guy a little scruffy or clean-shaven, prefer nerdy-cute or conventionally handsome, we found him. Go ahead, take your pick!
*By eligible, we mean "not married." All other iterations of a relationship are fair game.
Jake Hurwitz2 of 37
Looking for a guy who makes you laugh? This College Humor writer and star (check him out on "Jake & Amir") used to date Bee Shaffer (daughter of Anna Wintour), but the pair split last year and our sources tell us he's still on the market.
Nick Kocher3 of 37
Don't let his brooding expression in this picture mislead you. Kocher is actually a comedian, who is currently working on a pilot for Comedy Central. And he's 6-foot-2—just sayin'.
Anthony Jeselnik4 of 37
While his humor may be dark and borderline offensive, we're pretty sure this Comedy Central star has a sweet, sensitive side—as long as he's not roasting you.
Spoken Reasons5 of 37
At 24, he may be on the young side, but Spoken (aka John A. Baker Jr.) is already a self-made YouTube star and was named one of ten comics to watch by Variety. And that smile …
Ryan Stout6 of 37
After moving to Los Angeles from Cleveland, Ohio, comedian Ryan Stout got his first break as the host of MTV's Spring Break in 2008. Since then, Stout—now 30—has performed stand-up comedy on Conan and been a regular guest on Chelsea Lately. Click here to see if the funny guy is coming to a city near you.
Keith & Michael Jeffery7 of 37
Keith, 31, and Michael, 28, of Australia are the up-and-coming band Atlas Genius (you may have heard their song "Trojans"). They recently signed with Warner Bros. Records. Keith is lead singer and guitarist while brother Michael backs him up on the drums.
Cary Fukunaga8 of 37
Sure, he dated Michelle Williams, is one of Hollywood's hot new directors, and happens to be fluent in Spanish and French. We still think there's something decidedly normal and down-to-earth about Fukunaga—like he's the kind of guy who would get you a great book just because and be happy to stay in on a Friday night.
Rajiv Joseph9 of 37
Joseph lives in Brooklyn, writes at cafés and has that cool, struggling artist vibe, only without the struggling part. The Pulitzer finalist (for his Broadway play Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) recently sold his first screenplay Draft Day, which will star Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner.
Brendan Fallis10 of 37
In fairness to New York "it" girl Hannah Bronfman, we should tell you that Fallis is currently her guy. But with our no-ring criterion, we couldn't leave the 33-year-old DJ off our list. A former freestyle skier in his home country of Canada, Fallis is now fashion insiders' go-to DJ.
Dustin Lynch11 of 37
This 28-year-old country music singer out of Tennessee is currently the opening act for Keith Urban. And if his music doesn't make you swoon, just get a load of those baby blues.
Pablo Alborán12 of 37
In addition to good looks, this Spaniard has some serious vocal talent. The 24-year-old was nominated for three Latin Grammy Awards in 2011, including Song of the Year and Best New Artist.
Brook Klausing13 of 37
Who doesn't love a guy who's good with his hands? Klausing, the founder and creative director of Brook Landscape in Brooklyn, N.Y., can build you a rooftop garden—and a custom closet. Plus, he wears a flannel shirt like nobody's business.
Feliciano López14 of 37
The 32-year-old Spanish tennis player may be currently ranked No. 26, but he's still No. 1 in our book.
Ben Ainslie15 of 37
Sir Charles Benedict Ainslie, as he's officially known, has won four gold medals for sailing and was made a Knight Bachelor by the British Empire in 2013. His only flaw? He may be married to his boat.
Kevin Love16 of 37
The Minnesota Timberwolves player is a strapping 6-foot-10 and has a heart that's just as big: In 2009, he helped launch the Hoops for St. Jude charity program benefiting the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
David Oliver17 of 37
If David Oliver looks a little familiar, it's likely because he won bronze at the 2008 Olympics for the 110-meter hurdles. He's on track to snag Olympic gold: The 31-year-old alum of Howard University won a gold medal at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow this past August. Plus, we're suckers for his smile, too.
Carlos Bocanegra18 of 37
The former captain of the U.S. men's national soccer team, 34-year-old Bocanegra likely has many a-girl wishing he'd be on her team.
James Hahn19 of 37
James Hahn, 31, turned pro golfer after graduating from University of California, Berkeley, in 2003 and made his first appearance in the U.S. Open in 2012. But being in the big leagues hasn't gone to his head—He says he still cuts his own hair.
Ricky Berens20 of 37
Berens, 25, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and part of the American relay swim team. Though he may have been in the shadow of Phelps and Locke at the last Olympics, we have a feeling that won't be the case much longer.
J. Sider21 of 37
This laid-back guy may not seem like your typical CEO, but Sider is the founder and head of San Francisco-based startup BandPage, a site that hosts pages for half a million musicians. Both Billboard and Forbes have named him to their 30 Under 30 Lists, and we'd be remiss not to include the scruffily handsome music aficionado on ours. After all, who else can rock a lumberjack beard like that?
Dhani Jones22 of 37
In addition to creating Bowtie Cause, which raises money for a variety of organizations, this former NFL player is also a founding partner of VMG Creative, a New York City creative agency. Talk about being well-rounded.
Ben, Dave & Kevin23 of 37
Ben Kneppers, 29, David Stover, 28, and Kevin Ahearn, 28, were led into business by their eco-consciences. The three friends make up Bureo, a company that takes washed-up plastic on Chilean beaches and turns it into skateboards. Besides supporting recycling development in the Chilean communities, the company is creating jobs for the locals, too. Click here to follow them on their mission.
Joshua Kushner24 of 37
This Harvard University and Harvard Business School alum may only be 28, but he's already the founder and managing partner of private equity firm Thrive Capital, and will be launching a healthcare insurance company in 2014. All of this is obviously impressive, as is how good he looks in a suit. The one downside to Kushner? He has been linked to Karlie Kloss, which may not bode well for the rest of us non-supermodel humanoids.
Drew Houston25 of 37
MIT graduate Drew Houston went on to become the founder and CEO of Dropbox—an online backup and storage service—in 2007. The 30-year-old is among the rising stars of Silicon Valley with his net worth estimated at $400 million.
James Marshall Reilly26 of 37
Entrepreneur and writer James Marshall Reilly, 31, published his first book Shake the World: It's Not About Finding a Job, It's About Creating a Life back in 2011.The book focuses on millennial entrepreneurs with a social conscience—similar to Reilly himself.
Pete Cashmore27 of 37
CEO and founder of Mashable, 27-year-old Pete Cashmore's Scottish accent is sure to win you over if you're not already impressed.
David Gandy28 of 37
This 33-year-old Dolce & Gabbana model is more than just a pretty face; he's also been active in raising money and awareness for various causes, including Oxfam International and animal welfare. Up until recently he was dating Les Mis actress Samantha Barks, but rumor has it the romance has fizzled, which makes Gandy fair game. What are you waiting for?
David Mayer de Rothschild29 of 37
With his scruffy look and unkempt style, you probably wouldn't guess that de Rothschild is the youngest heir to his family's banking fortune, which is part of his charm. The 35-year-old adventurer is founder of Sculpt the Future Foundation, a charity that helps support creative and sustainable projects.
Warrick Dunn30 of 37
Former NFL running back Warrick Dunn may be retired from football, but he still keeps plenty busy. The 38-year-old puts most of his focus on Warrick Dunn Charities, started in 1997 to help single-parent families become homeowners. To date, Dunn's charity has helped 127 single parents and 344 children. Handsome, successful and charitable? Sounds like a keeper.
Ben Rattray31 of 37
As the founder and CEO of the online petition website Change.org, Ben Rattray, 33, has always had a desire to be successful. At Stanford, he was focused on becoming an investment banker, retiring at 35 and going into politics. Now, he's trying to change the world, one electronic signature at a time.
Patrick Murphy32 of 37
Serving Florida's 18th district, Patrick Murphy, 30, is currently the youngest member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to getting into politics, he started Coastal Environmental Services, which specializes in disaster relief and cleanup efforts, and spent six months cleaning up the 2010 BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Brian McGrory33 of 37
We admire a man who can pull off a skirt, as this native Scotsman has been known to do. McGrory is the restauranteur behind two of New York's popular gastropubs, Whitehall and Highlands. Give us a pint and a man with a brogue accent and we're happy.
Jason Cichonski34 of 37
You can expect to be seeing a lot more of this chef once the new season of Top Chef airs on Oct. 2. At just 27, Cichonski is already chef-owner of Philadephia's Ela Restaurant. We recommend booking a reservation before word gets out about the easy-on-the-eyes proprietor.
Noah Galuten35 of 37
This foodie/writer/restauranteur/pit-master extraordinaire knows how to handle his meat. (What? We couldn't resist.) Galuten helps run the kitchen at Bludso's Bar & Que in Los Angeles, so you can bet he knows how to keep those fires burning. (Sometimes it's just too easy.)
Full disclosure: Galuten can occasionally be seen around the Glo offices, where he films a show for YouTube channel Tasted, which makes us close, personal fans.
Sean Kelly36 of 37
Attention all health nuts (or health-nut wannabes). Co-founder of HUMAN Healthy Vending, Sean Kelly wants to give you healthier alternatives to sugar-laden vending-machine snacks. Read more about his healthful ambitions here.
Erik Sun37 of 37
