The Geography of Romance

So where does that leave me? I am happy with my boyfriend and our life together in New York, but unhappy that I still have to work at my kitchen table. Still, I'm not sure that we'd say "I love you more" if we lived in that converted farmhouse. Sure, we might have more alone time. But from experience, we feel most in love when we're looking at each other across a dinner table, surrounded by our friends. It's what works for us, for now.

Ultimately, wherever you choose to live—whether it's Anchorage or Austin—you'll go through hard times, and you'll go through easy ones. The only thing that matters is your ability to adapt, and choosing the right person who will adapt along with you, even if that person is yourself.
