Real Talk1 of 10
By Daisy Lewellyn
My typical workday involves appearances on television shows, designer previews and social events at night, all of which require me to look my best. But that's nothing compared to having cameras following you 24/7. As one of the stars of Bravo's new reality show Blood, Sweat & Heels, I picked up plenty of tricks to look good and feel confident. Check out my top nine tips!
Feet First2 of 10
It's tough to be on your feet for eight hours in spiked heels that pinch your toes. So I always tried to wear comfy shoes because I get a pretty bad attitude when my dogs are barking. If I had to shoot a long day, I went for shoes with three elements: a platform sole, thicker heel and cushioning.

In the Bag3 of 10
When you're shooting a reality show, the cameras are always on. There is no "And ... action!" signal. That's why I always carried a cute bag, which instantly gives you a fun, pulled-together look.

Bright Idea4 of 10
Blood, Sweat & Heels is based in New York, and New Yorkers love wearing head-to-toe black. Vibrant color is a great way to stand out in the crowd—and boost your energy. I actually wore this Ted Baker dress for an event I hosted while the cameras were rolling.

Make a Statement5 of 10
During serious moments, the cameras would zoom in and focus on the neck up. Since I wanted to look cute for potential close-ups. I wore bold statement necklaces. They're perfect for framing my face and bringing in a fashion element.

Shape Up6 of 10
Cameras often follow you from behind, which means they see your bum first. I always had a pair of Spanx on hand to smooth over my tush. The key is to go with shapewear that's not too tight and won't cause any dents.

Smooth Landings7 of 10
On top, I needed a full coverage nude push-up bra that wouldn't bulge through the fabric of my clothes.

Think Thin8 of 10
If I had to skip the gym one week, I reached for a flattering single-breasted blazer. They're not only great for business meetings, they also cleverly cover up a little extra love in the midsection.

Full Stretch9 of 10
Because of my busy social life, I tend to eat out a lot with clients and friends. The downside is that the cameras showed anytime I gained a pound or two. Structured pieces with a little bit of Lycra or stretch helped me tremendously throughout the taping process by sucking in my problem areas.

Good Jeans10 of 10
While I love a sexy cocktail dress, the show captured both my dressy and casual moments. Whether we were hanging out at home or grabbing some ice cream, there was one piece that saved me: my denim shirt. I love pairing it with a full skirt and flat boots for a casual look that doesn't sacrifice style.
Blood, Sweat & Heels airs on Sundays on Bravo at 9/8c.
